Cripps Barn

Cripps Barn is an 18th-century Cotswold stone barn set amongst ancient woodland and rolling countryside in the Coln Valley near Bibury. The original venue in the Cripps & Co collection, it opened as an events venue in 1990 and combines flagstone floors, exposed beams and a large open fireplace with contemporary event facilities.

The venue is principally focused on weddings and celebrations, accommodating 150 guests for ceremonies and dining and up to 200 guests in total including evening guests. Events can take place inside the main barn or make use of the gardens, terrace, fire pits and woodland ceremony setting.

The main 18th-century stone barn is the heart of the venue, with exposed timber beams, flagstone flooring and a large open fireplace.

It provides the principal space for ceremonies, dining and evening celebrations, with the room transitioning from daytime dining into a dance floor later in the evening.

Oak Pavilion

The Oak Pavilion provides an alternative covered setting within the gardens and woodland environment. It gives events another distinctive area away from the main barn and is particularly suited to ceremonies and appropriate reception use.

Gardens & Terrace

Cripps Barn is surrounded by landscaped gardens, woodland and open countryside. The terrace and gardens provide space for drinks receptions and outdoor entertaining, with permanent fire pits adding to the venue's character.

Facilities and Services

Cripps Barn has a Funktion-One sound system, event lighting and facilities for DJs and live bands. The venue holds a late licence until 1am, making it particularly strong for parties and evening celebrations.

Food and drink are handled entirely in-house by Cripps & Co. External caterers are not permitted. The venue's chefs specialise in feast-style menus, including cooking over open-fire barbecues and French rotisseries.
