Event Spaces

The Cathedral Room

At the heart of the estate’s event offering is the dramatic Cathedral Room, the venue’s largest and most impressive event space. Featuring double-height ceilings, tall windows, a grand fireplace and Minstrels’ Gallery, the room is designed for conferences, gala dinners, weddings and large-scale celebrations. The space accommodates up to 120 guests seated and creates one of the most visually striking event environments in Devon.

The Adam Room

The Adam Room offers a more intimate and elegant environment suited to private dining, drinks receptions, networking events and smaller ceremonies. Positioned within the manor house, the room combines refined interiors with views across the surrounding estate.

The Library

One of the venue’s most characterful spaces, the Library provides a warm and intimate atmosphere ideal for executive meetings, private dining and smaller celebrations. Featuring estate views, a fireplace and direct access to the South Terrace, the room works particularly well for boutique hospitality events.

Outdoor Estate & Summerhouse

The estate’s landscaped grounds, terraces and Summerhouse provide exceptional settings for outdoor ceremonies, drinks receptions and summer events overlooking the Dartmoor valleys. Outdoor experiences form a major part of the Bovey Castle guest experience.

Corporate Retreats & Team Building

Alongside weddings and private events, Bovey Castle regularly hosts leadership retreats, residential conferences and corporate hospitality events. Activities including falconry, off-road driving, golf, archery and spa experiences can all be incorporated into event programmes.

The estate offers approximately 60 luxury bedrooms and suites within the main castle alongside 22 self-catering country lodges positioned throughout the grounds. The lodges provide additional residential flexibility for multi-day events and group stays.
