Highclere Castle is one of the United Kingdom's most prestigious private event venues, internationally recognised as the filming location for Downton Abbey. Event Spaces

The Saloon

The Castle's magnificent central hall accommodates up to 60 delegates theatre style, making it ideal for conferences, presentations, keynote sessions and corporate meetings. The spectacular double-height space provides an unforgettable backdrop beneath its historic vaulted ceiling.

State Dining Room

An elegant room accommodating up to 24 guests for private dining or executive board meetings. Perfect for leadership meetings, client entertaining and intimate corporate dinners.

State Rooms

The Castle's principal reception rooms accommodate up to 150 guests for drinks receptions and canapé events. Guests can enjoy exclusive access while learning about the Castle's history, artwork and its connection to Downton Abbey.

South Lawn & Castle Grounds

The South Lawn and surrounding estate provide a spectacular setting for receptions, hospitality, team building and bespoke marquee events, with panoramic views across the Capability Brown landscape. Larger events can be accommodated within a marquee on the estate grounds.
