About Venue

Located on Plymouth’s waterfront at Millbay, Plymouth Pavilions is the South West’s largest entertainment, conference and live events venue, combining arena-scale capacities, exhibition space and flexible conference facilities within one of Devon’s best-known multi-purpose event destinations. Since opening in 1991, the venue has established itself as a major regional hub for concerts, conferences, exhibitions, sporting events, banquets and large-scale corporate gatherings.

Centred around its large-format Arena, the venue blends concert-scale infrastructure with professional conference and event delivery, making it one of the few venues in the South West capable of hosting events ranging from major exhibitions and graduations through to gala dinners, trade shows and large corporate conferences. Its scale, technical capabilities and city-centre waterfront location position it as one of the region’s strongest large-capacity event venues.

Event Spaces

The Arena

At the heart of the venue is the Arena, a highly versatile large-scale event space capable of accommodating conferences, exhibitions, concerts, sporting events, graduations and gala dinners. The Arena offers up to 4,000 standing capacity, 2,500 theatre-style seating and banqueting for up to 700 guests alongside approximately 1,800m² of exhibition space.

Exhibition & Breakout Areas

Supporting the Arena are a collection of breakout spaces, backstage areas and hospitality environments that can be configured for exhibitions, registration zones, networking receptions and delegate support functions. The venue also incorporates dressing rooms, backstage suites and dedicated production infrastructure for large-scale live events.

Arena Bar & Hospitality Spaces

The Arena Bar and hospitality areas support networking receptions, VIP experiences and delegate catering throughout conferences and live events. These spaces help create a more flexible event flow across larger multi-format events.
