The Spanish Barn

At the centre of the venue is the remarkable Spanish Barn, an 800-year-old Grade I listed tithe barn originally associated with prisoners from the Spanish Armada. Featuring dramatic timber beams, stone flooring and cathedral-scale proportions, the barn is one of the most unique event spaces on the English Riviera. The space supports conferences, gala dinners, weddings, exhibitions and large-scale receptions.

The Ballroom

The Ballroom provides a more elegant and intimate heritage setting suited to ceremonies, receptions, private dining and networking events. Positioned within the historic house, the room combines Georgian styling with natural daylight and views across the gardens.

Medieval Undercroft

One of the venue’s most atmospheric spaces, the Medieval Undercroft offers vaulted stone interiors ideal for private receptions, ceremonies and immersive hospitality events. The room delivers a dramatic heritage backdrop unlike traditional hotel function rooms.

The Long Gallery & House Rooms

Supporting the larger event spaces are additional gallery and reception rooms throughout the abbey including the Long Gallery, Dining Room and Chapel spaces. These are suited to meetings, networking events, exhibitions and private hospitality occasions.

Gardens & Outdoor Spaces

One of Torre Abbey’s defining features is its extensive gardens, ruins and outdoor terraces overlooking the English Riviera coastline. Outdoor ceremonies, receptions, summer parties and drinks events work particularly well within the landscaped grounds.
