John Harvard Library

John Harvard Library offers simple, affordable meeting space on Borough High Street, close to Borough Market and within walking distance of London Bridge. The recently refurbished library has a private meeting room for up to 30 people alongside a smaller two-person meeting pod, making it particularly suited to meetings, workshops, training sessions, interviews and small group sessions.

The main Meeting Room includes an integrated screen and projector, flipchart, WiFi, tables and chairs. There is also an independent café within the library, although catering is not provided directly by the venue.

The venue is fully accessible, with wheelchair access and an accessible toilet, and its position on Borough High Street provides straightforward connections from both Borough and London Bridge stations.

John Harvard Library provides a straightforward meeting environment rather than a full-service events operation. The main Meeting Room has WiFi, an integrated screen and projector, flipchart, tables and chairs, while an independent café operates within the library.

The library does not provide catering. Drinks, snacks and finger food can be brought into the Meeting Room with prior agreement, but hot food is not permitted. Alcohol cannot be brought into or consumed anywhere on the premises.

Bookings normally operate within library opening hours, although Southwark states that bookings outside these hours may be possible by arrangement with additional staffing charges.

Why Hire

John Harvard Library is a useful option when an organiser needs a straightforward private meeting space in central London without paying conventional corporate venue rates.

Its location is the main advantage. Borough Market, Borough Underground station and London Bridge are all nearby, making it easy to reach from across London and particularly convenient for attendees arriving by National Rail.

The Meeting Room already includes the essentials needed for a presentation or workshop, including a screen, projector, flipchart and WiFi, so smaller organisations do not need to build an AV package around a relatively simple meeting.

This is not a venue for elaborate corporate hospitality, dinners or parties. Its strength is accessible, practical and comparatively inexpensive meeting space in an exceptionally well-connected part of London.
