Event Spaces

Main Hall

The museum's principal event space accommodating up to 200 guests for receptions or 90 for dinner and theatre-style events. A flexible contemporary space featuring integrated AV, adjustable lighting and direct access to adjoining facilities, making it ideal for conferences, awards, receptions and evening events.

Living Worlds

One of the museum's most spectacular galleries, accommodating elegant dinners and receptions beneath the suspended sperm whale skeleton. Perfect for gala dinners, networking events, private celebrations and client entertaining.

Fossils & Dinosaurs

An unforgettable event space beneath Stan, the museum's Tyrannosaurus rex. Accommodating up to 100 guests for receptions, it is ideal for drinks receptions, parties, wedding ceremonies and exclusive evening events.

Kanaris Theatre

A modern lecture theatre accommodating 90 delegates theatre style or 48 cabaret. Featuring integrated AV technology and an adjoining foyer, it is ideal for conferences, presentations, training events and seminars.

Conference Room

A bright contemporary boardroom accommodating 18 delegates, designed specifically for meetings and hybrid events with integrated AV facilities.

Located on Oxford Road within The University of Manchester campus, Manchester Museum is approximately a 10-minute walk from Manchester Oxford Road Station and around 15 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly Station. The venue is easily accessible by road, tram and bus services.
