About
National Football Museum
The National Football Museum is a distinctive event venue housed within Manchester's iconic Urbis building at Cathedral Gardens. Located directly beside Manchester Victoria station and close to the AO Arena, the museum combines contemporary architecture, panoramic city views and one of the world's most significant collections of football heritage.
The venue can host up to 400 guests standing, 300 theatre-style and 250 for dinner, with its galleries available for corporate events, conferences, awards ceremonies, dinners, receptions, product launches and brand activations. Event organisers can also incorporate the museum itself into the guest experience through private tours, curator talks and object-handling sessions.
As a registered charity, income generated through venue hire supports the museum's charitable, educational and community work.

Facilities and Services
The National Football Museum provides an established events operation with catering and technical support available onsite. The Pitch Gallery includes access to a full catering kitchen, while AV facilities include screens and projectors, PA, video conferencing, live streaming and onsite technical support.
The museum can also build football-related experiences into events, including guided tours, curator talks and object-handling sessions, giving organisers the opportunity to make the venue's collection part of the programme rather than simply using the building as a backdrop.

Why Hire
The National Football Museum works particularly well for organisers who want their venue to contribute something to the event itself. Rather than simply providing a room, the museum offers guests access to football history and collections within one of Manchester's most recognisable modern buildings.
The Pitch Gallery provides enough scale for conferences, receptions and dinners for several hundred guests, while The Box Gallery offers a contrasting smaller environment for meetings, private dining and VIP events. Using the spaces together also creates opportunities for breakout sessions or different stages of an event.
Its location is another major strength. Manchester Victoria is immediately beside the museum, making the venue particularly straightforward for delegates arriving from elsewhere in Greater Manchester and across the UK.
