Newland Hall

Newland Hall is a Grade II-listed Tudor manor house set within the Essex countryside, approximately four miles from Chelmsford city centre. The historic venue combines the character of the manor house with a permanent marquee, landscaped grounds and outdoor ceremony space, providing an exclusive-use setting for weddings, private celebrations and corporate events.

Events can accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated meal and 200 guests for a more informal buffet-style reception. Newland Hall also offers genuine dry hire, allowing organisers to select their own caterers and waiting staff, with no corkage charge.

Marquee

The marquee is Newland Hall's principal large event space and can accommodate dinners, receptions, parties and larger celebrations.

Dry hire includes tables and chairs, dance floor, heating when required, lighting, toilets, kitchen facilities and parking. External caterers can be brought in and there is no corkage charge.

Henry VIII Room

A characterful room within the historic manor house used principally for indoor civil ceremonies and smaller gatherings.

Newland Hall's countryside grounds provide outdoor space for drinks receptions, photographs and appropriate outdoor activities alongside events within the house and marquee.

Facilities and Services

Newland Hall offers both fully catered packages and venue-only dry hire, making it considerably more flexible than many traditional country-house wedding venues.

For dry-hire events, organisers can appoint their own caterer and waiting staff. The package includes kitchen facilities, tables and chairs, lighting, heating where required, dance floor, toilets and parking, with no corkage charge.

Exclusive use is guaranteed for dry-hire bookings.
