Shoreditch Electric
Shoreditch Electric is a distinctive industrial events venue housed within a former Victorian electricity generating station on Coronet Street, close to Old Street and Hoxton Square. Dating from the late 19th century, the building retains much of its original power-station character, including exposed brickwork, dramatic ceiling heights and industrial architectural features.
Now home to the National Centre for Circus Arts, the venue operates commercially as a dry-hire blank canvas, with income from venue hire supporting the charity. Its interconnected indoor and outdoor spaces provide more than 1,000m² of event space, making it particularly suited to conferences, product launches, exhibitions, dinners, brand activations, filming and high-production corporate events.
The venue offers three principal hire options: Creation Studio hire, Part Venue Hire and Full Venue Hire. Part Venue Hire includes the Creation Studio, Combustion Chamber, Courtyard and Lower Link Studio, while Full Venue Hire opens up the complete venue.

The venue works with an approved supplier network and requires clients hiring the venue to have an event or production company managing their event.
Production infrastructure is a major strength. The 425m² Combustion Chamber offers substantial three-phase power, a structural rigging grid, vehicle access, full blackout capability and ceiling heights reaching 17.5 metres at the apex. Large double doors and an external vehicle ramp make loading particularly straightforward for exhibitions, launches and major production builds.
The venue is widely accessible, with step-free access to rooms, lifts, accessible toilets and wide doorways. The private 540m² Courtyard also provides valuable outdoor space for food trucks, installations, receptions and event production.

The adjoining Lower Link Studio and 540m² Courtyard allow registration, catering, networking and outdoor activation to operate alongside the main event. Full hire brings the Generating Chamber, Upper Link Studio and additional spaces into the event footprint.
