New creative venue within Manchester’s historic Upper Campfield Market Hall prepares for its first major public showcase at Manchester Fashion Week.

Manchester’s event venue landscape has welcomed a significant new addition with the opening of Campfield Studios, a new production and events space within the historic Upper Campfield Market Hall.

Located in Manchester’s St John’s district, Campfield Studios has been designed as a flexible environment for events, media production, content creation, fashion, broadcast and creative projects, combining the character of the Grade II-listed market hall with contemporary production infrastructure.

At the heart of the venue is a striking central atrium beneath the building’s glazed roof, complete with a large-format LED wall. The venue also incorporates a ground-floor production studio with interchangeable backdrops and professional lighting, an adjoining gallery space and three daylight and production studios positioned around the mezzanine.

The combination allows Campfield Studios to accommodate a broad range of event formats, from conferences, presentations and product launches to exhibitions, brand activations, fashion events, filming and content production.

Manchester Fashion Week to Showcase the Venue

Campfield Studios will receive its first major public showcase when Manchester Fashion Week returns to the city from 9–12 September 2026.

The four-day programme will take place across Manchester’s St John’s district, with Campfield joining VERSA Studios and the ABC Buildings as key host locations.

Campfield Studios is set to host talks, workshops, designer presentations and runway shows during the programme, while its daylight studios will be used for fashion photography and production.

The event will provide organisers and prospective hirers with an opportunity to see the new venue operating as a working event and production environment.

A New Creative Event Space for Manchester

The opening adds another distinctive option to Manchester’s growing collection of creative and non-traditional event venues.

Campfield itself brings together workspace, technology, media production and events within Manchester’s historic market halls, placing the new studios within a wider campus focused on technology, media and the creative industries.

With dedicated production facilities sitting alongside flexible event areas, Campfield Studios offers organisers the opportunity to combine live events with filming, photography, broadcast and content creation within the same venue.
