Banking Hall
Banking Hall is a spectacular Grade II listed Art Deco events venue on Cornhill in the heart of the City of London, moments from Bank Station and directly opposite the Bank of England and Royal Exchange.
Originally built in the 1930s as the headquarters of Lloyds Bank, the venue retains much of its architectural grandeur, with soaring ceilings, imposing marble columns, original period detailing and a dramatic sweeping staircase connecting the Main Hall with the mezzanine-level Counting Room.
The Main Hall provides the principal event space and can accommodate approximately 520 guests for a standing reception, 280 theatre style or 250 for a seated dinner. Its open-plan layout provides considerable flexibility for gala dinners, awards ceremonies, conferences, product launches, receptions, Christmas parties and large corporate events.
Above the Main Hall, the Counting Room provides a contrasting environment with views towards the Bank of England and Royal Exchange and its own distinctive brass-topped bar. It can operate as an event space in its own right or provide an additional reception, breakout, VIP or after-party environment alongside events taking place downstairs.
Banking Hall is hired exclusively, giving organisers private use of both principal spaces rather than operating multiple events simultaneously. Combined with its prominent City location and architectural impact, this makes it particularly strong for high-profile corporate events and occasions where the venue itself needs to provide a significant part of the guest experience.

Banking Hall provides exclusive venue hire supported by a dedicated event planning and operations team. The venue can accommodate substantial audiovisual production, staging, entertainment, lighting and event theming while retaining the architectural features that give the building its character.
Catering is normally provided in-house, with menus available for conferences, dinners, receptions, weddings and corporate celebrations. External catering may be considered for cultural or religious events where specialist catering is required, subject to the venue's approval and applicable dry-hire arrangements.
Event packages can incorporate furniture, staffing, security, cloakroom facilities and event management, with additional production, entertainment, floristry and creative requirements arranged according to the individual brief.
The venue can accommodate later evening events, with extensions beyond the standard finish time available subject to agreement, licensing and additional charges.

Why Hire
Banking Hall is particularly strong for events where architectural impact is important. The scale of the Main Hall, marble columns, high ceilings and sweeping staircase mean relatively little additional theming is required to create an impressive guest arrival.
The two-level layout also works naturally for corporate dinners and awards. Guests can arrive for drinks in the Counting Room before moving down the staircase into the Main Hall for dinner, presentations and entertainment, creating distinct stages within the event without changing venue.
Exclusive hire is another significant advantage. Organisers do not have to share public spaces with another conference, wedding or function taking place elsewhere within the building, giving brands considerably greater control over the guest experience.
