About
St George's Hall Liverpool
St George's Hall is one of Liverpool's most recognisable landmarks and one of the UK's finest examples of neoclassical architecture. Located directly opposite Liverpool Lime Street Station, the Grade I listed building provides an extraordinary setting for conferences, gala dinners, awards, exhibitions, performances, receptions and private events.
Opened in 1854, St George's Hall was originally conceived to combine a major concert venue with the city's law courts. This unusual history has created an extensive collection of dramatically different event spaces, ranging from the vast Great Hall and ornate Concert Room to former courtrooms, meeting rooms and more intimate suites.
The Great Hall is the venue's largest space, accommodating up to 1,200 guests standing, 830 theatre style or 500 for a banquet. Its barrel-vaulted ceiling, chandeliers, marble columns and monumental pipe organ create one of the most impressive large-event settings in Liverpool.
Alongside the Great Hall, the Concert Room provides an ornate circular auditorium for up to 500 seated guests, while the North Hall, Mandela Room, Elmes Room, Cockerell Room, historic Civil Court and smaller suites provide further options for meetings, breakout sessions and supporting event activity.

Why Hire
St George's Hall is a venue where the building itself becomes a significant part of the event. Its scale, architecture and history create an environment that would be extremely difficult to reproduce through temporary production in a conventional event space.
The Great Hall is particularly impressive for major gala dinners, awards, conferences and receptions, accommodating up to 1,200 guests standing or 500 for dinner beneath its monumental barrel-vaulted ceiling.
For events requiring multiple spaces, the wider collection of rooms provides considerable flexibility. The Concert Room can accommodate up to 500 seated guests, while the North Hall, former courtrooms and smaller meeting suites can support breakout sessions, meetings and additional event activity.
Its location directly opposite Liverpool Lime Street Station is another major advantage, particularly for national conferences and events attracting delegates from across the UK.
