Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe
Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe is a distinctive riverside restaurant and events venue on Bankside, immediately beside Shakespeare’s Globe. Its collection of private dining rooms and event spaces offers views across the Thames towards St Paul’s Cathedral, alongside one of its most unusual spaces: the Underglobe, located directly beneath the Globe Theatre.
The venue works across a particularly broad range of events, from intimate client dinners and meetings to receptions, weddings, gala dinners, awards ceremonies and Christmas parties. Individual rooms can be hired privately, while larger-scale events can use the Underglobe for up to 450 guests standing.
Food and drink are central to the offer, with menus created by Swan's own kitchen using seasonal British produce. Event organisers can also incorporate private tours and experiences at Shakespeare’s Globe, subject to availability.

Swan offers full-service event delivery with its own chefs, front-of-house team, sommeliers and dedicated events team. The Underglobe has substantial built-in production capability, including a stage, theatrical sound and lighting, projection and immersive projection mapping, supported by event production partners.
The Underglobe is fully accessible and has a late licence until 1am, with the venue stating that extensions can potentially be arranged. Private tours of Shakespeare’s Globe can also be incorporated into events, subject to availability.
