At Match My Venue, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all our business relationships. This Anti-Bribery Policy outlines our approach to preventing bribery and ensuring that all interactions with clients, suppliers, and venues are conducted ethically and fairly.
1. Gifts and Hospitality

Acceptable Gifts: Employees may accept gifts under £50 in value. Gifts exceeding this limit must be declared to the CEO and approved if deemed beneficial for the business.

Prohibited Personal Gifting: Match My Venue does not permit employees to accept gifts or hospitality intended for personal use, including overnight stays or personal gifts from suppliers or venues.

Business Enhancement Only: All gifts and hospitality must serve to enhance business knowledge or relationships and must not be intended for personal enjoyment.
2. Commissions and Financial Transactions

Standardised Commission: Match My Venue maintains a flat 10% commission rate from each venue or supplier and does not accept increased commission rates or incentives to favour one supplier over another. This ensures that recommendations are based solely on client suitability.
3. Personal Relationships in Business

Encouraging Positive Relationships: Match My Venue values strong business relationships and encourages personal connections within the industry. However, all team members must ensure that these relationships do not influence venue or supplier recommendations in ways that compromise client interests.

Monitoring for Fairness: Internal checks are in place to ensure that personal relationships do not lead to preferential treatment of any venue or supplier.
4. Reporting Bribery

Confidential Reporting: Any instances of suspected bribery or unethical behaviour must be reported to the CEO. All reports, whether from employees, suppliers, or clients, will be handled confidentially and thoroughly investigated.

Whistleblower Protection: Individuals reporting suspected bribery in good faith will be protected from any repercussions.
5. Policy Awareness and Training

Ongoing Review: While anti-bribery training is not currently mandatory, Match My Venue is committed to periodically reviewing this policy. If required, training and awareness sessions will be introduced to further enhance understanding of anti-bribery practices.
6. Consequences of Breach

Disciplinary Action: Any employee found to have violated this policy will face disciplinary measures, which may include termination, depending on the severity of the breach.
