Dispute Resolution Policy
For Venues & Suppliers
At Match My Venue, we aim to maintain clear and professional relationships with our venue and supplier partners. This Dispute Resolution Policy outlines the process for resolving any disputes related to commission payments and other contractual obligations. We are committed to addressing issues promptly and fairly, in accordance with our agreement and legal obligations.
1. Commission Payment Terms
-
Commission Rate: A commission of 10% + VAT of the total contracted event spend is payable by the venue or supplier to Match My Venue.
-
Payment Due: Commission must be paid within 1 month of the event’s completion.
-
Invoice Submission: The venue or supplier must provide a final copy of the event invoice to Match My Venue within 5 days of the event's conclusion, after which Match My Venue will promptly issue an invoice for the commission payment.
-
Future Bookings: Commission is payable on all future bookings with the client for a period of 2 years, even if the client books directly with the venue or supplier.
2. Event Cancellations and Postponements
-
Event Postponement: If the event is postponed, commission is due based on the new event date.
-
Event Cancellation: If an event is cancelled, 10% of any deposit held by the venue or supplier must be paid to Match My Venue.
-
Force Majeure: In the event of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions), no commission is due.
3. Initial Dispute Resolution
-
If a dispute arises regarding the commission payment or any other contractual obligation, the venue or supplier must first attempt to resolve the issue directly with Match My Venue.
-
Disputes may include late payments, disagreements over commission amounts, or any other issues related to the contractual relationship.
4. Escalation of Disputes
-
If the dispute cannot be resolved directly within 30 days of arising, the matter will be escalated to legal teams.
-
Both parties will communicate through legal representatives to attempt to resolve the dispute.
-
Match My Venue reserves the right to take whatever action is necessary, including legal proceedings, to recover the commission owed or address the dispute.
5. Governing Law
-
All disputes are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any legal action will be pursued under these jurisdictions.
6. Meeting Industry Association (MIA)
-
Match My Venue is registered with the Meeting Industry Association (MIA) and abides by all rules and standards set forth by the MIA. As part of this commitment, we ensure that all our agreements and disputes are handled professionally and in compliance with industry standards.
7. Acceptance of Terms
-
By accepting business from Match My Venue, venues and suppliers agree to these terms, including the payment of commission on any bookings made as a result of our introduction.
Match My Venue is committed to working cooperatively with our venue and supplier partners, and we aim to resolve any disputes in a timely and fair manner. For further questions or concerns, please contact us:
