QEII Centre Marks 40 Years with Third Consecutive Year of Revenue Growth

QEII Centre Marks 40 Years with Third Consecutive Year of Revenue Growth

The QEII Centre is celebrating its 40th anniversary with another strong year of commercial performance, reporting revenue almost £1 million ahead of the same period last year and extending its run of year-on-year sales growth to three consecutive years.

Since opening in Westminster in June 1986, the venue has welcomed more than eight million visitors and hosted over 14,000 conferences, exhibitions and international events, establishing itself as one of the UK's best-known conference centres. From global political summits and medical congresses to major corporate events, the venue has played a significant role in London's business events industry.

The anniversary comes at a positive time for the venue. Alongside continued investment in event technology, catering and delegate services, the QEII Centre says it has a healthy pipeline of multi-year bookings, providing confidence for the years ahead.

While the milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on four decades of history, the stronger message is that demand for high-quality conference venues in London remains resilient. Continued revenue growth and long-term client commitments suggest the capital's conference market remains in good health, with established venues continuing to attract major national and international events.
