Village Underground Launches New Shoreditch Pop-Up and Activation Space

Village Underground Launches New Shoreditch Pop-Up and Activation Space

Village Underground has expanded its event offering in Shoreditch with the launch of Room 2, a new street-level space designed for pop-ups, brand activations, product launches, retail experiences and private events.

Located on Great Eastern Street, the new 1,000 sq ft venue forms part of the established Village Underground site and can be hired independently or alongside the main warehouse and rooftop spaces.

Previously occupied by a barbershop, Room 2 has been completely reimagined as a contemporary activation and hospitality space, providing brands and event organisers with a smaller and highly visible venue in the heart of Shoreditch.

Designed for Activations and Pop-Ups

One of Room 2's biggest advantages is its street-level position, with glass-fronted entrances on both Great Eastern Street and Holywell Lane.

The dual entrances allow organisers to create a natural one-way guest journey through the space, making it particularly well suited to immersive activations, product showcases and temporary retail concepts.

The prominent frontage also provides opportunities for high-impact branding and visibility to passing footfall in one of East London's busiest creative districts.

Inside, the venue combines a contemporary industrial aesthetic with a fixed bar, banquette seating and a mezzanine storage area.

Room 2 can accommodate approximately 80–100 guests standing.

A New Addition to Village Underground

The launch gives organisers another way to use Village Underground, particularly for events that do not require the scale of its main warehouse.

Room 2 can also be incorporated into wider events taking place across the venue, creating opportunities for additional hospitality, breakout activity, brand experiences or complementary event programming.

With Shoreditch continuing to be a major destination for creative events, launches and experiential campaigns, the new space adds a flexible smaller-format option to one of the area's best-known independent venues.

Room 2 at a glance:

  • 1,000 sq ft street-level event space

  • 80–100 standing capacity

  • Entrances on Great Eastern Street and Holywell Lane

  • Suitable for pop-ups, activations, launches and celebrations

  • Fixed bar and banquette seating

  • Mezzanine storage

  • High-visibility branding opportunities

  • Available independently or alongside Village Underground's warehouse and rooftop

Room 2 is now available for event enquiries and site visits.
