Wyboston Lakes Resort has expanded its event offering with The Box, a new 900sqm large-format event space positioned alongside The Woodlands Event Centre in Bedfordshire.

Designed in response to growing demand for flexible, large-scale event space, The Box provides organisers with a contemporary blank canvas for conferences, exhibitions, product launches, gala dinners and other high-impact events.

The purpose-built pavilion-style structure measures 15m x 60m, with a three-metre ceiling height and capacity for more than 400 guests depending on the event format.

A Flexible New Space for Large Events

One of the most interesting aspects of The Box is its flexibility.

Rather than dictating a particular event format, the 900sqm open space has been designed to give organisers greater freedom over layout, production, branding and delegate experience.

Extensive glazing brings natural daylight into the venue, while its scale makes it suitable for everything from large exhibitions and association conferences to immersive product launches, awards and private dinners.

The Box can also operate either as a standalone venue or alongside the existing facilities at The Woodlands Event Centre.

For larger conferences, for example, organisers could use the Rosewood Suite for the main plenary or dinner while turning The Box into a substantial exhibition or additional event area.

A covered walkway connects the two spaces, allowing delegates to move between them without leaving the event environment.

Expanding The Woodlands Event Centre

The addition significantly increases the options available to organisers using The Woodlands Event Centre.

The existing venue already provides 16 flexible event spaces, including the Rosewood Suite, alongside 120 bedrooms, restaurants, breakout areas and extensive event technology.

With The Box added to that infrastructure, Wyboston Lakes can accommodate event programmes requiring substantially more exhibition, dining or production space without moving delegates to another venue.

For residential events, organisers can also draw on accommodation and facilities across the wider Wyboston Lakes Resort.
