Anti-Slavery Policy
How We Protect All Of Us.
At Match My Venue, we are committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and strive to ensure that all suppliers and partners meet the highest standards of ethical conduct.
1. Scope and Commitment
-
Match My Venue does not work with international suppliers directly and currently operates within the UK, using UK-based venues and suppliers. However, as we may expand to an international market in the future, we remain committed to upholding the principles of the Modern Slavery Act in all our future operations.
-
We ensure that all suppliers with more than 5 employees have an anti-slavery policy in place. For smaller suppliers, we check that they are aware of the Modern Slavery Act and comply with its principles before recommending them to our clients.
2. Supplier Compliance
-
All suppliers with more than 5 employees are required to have an anti-slavery policy, but Match My Venue does not take responsibility for vetting these policies. This is the responsibility of our clients unless additional vetting services are agreed upon and paid for.
-
We do not work with any supplier that does not comply with the Modern Slavery Act or fails to meet ethical labour standards, including ensuring that all employees are paid a living wage.
3. Fair Wages and Contracts
-
Match My Venue believes in fair wages and clear employment contracts. All employees doing the same job or sharing the same title are paid equally, and all wages meet the Living Wage standard, not the minimum wage.
-
We ensure that transparency is maintained throughout our business dealings, and every role within the company has a clear and fair compensation structure.
4. Employee Awareness
-
While we are not large enough to offer formal training programs on modern slavery, all employees are aware of the Modern Slavery Act and the risks it addresses. We maintain a culture of vigilance and monitor our supply chains regularly for any signs of unethical practices.
5. Monitoring and Reporting
-
Match My Venue regularly monitors its supply chain to ensure compliance with ethical standards. If any concerns arise regarding a supplier or partner, we will address these immediately and take appropriate action, which may include ceasing business relationships with non-compliant entities.
6. Future Goals
-
As we grow, we aim to expand our monitoring and reporting systems to ensure ongoing compliance with the Modern Slavery Act and explore more comprehensive training opportunities for staff.
