At Match My Venue, we use social media platforms to engage with the business community, promote venues, and attract new clients. Our presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook is governed by this policy, which outlines how we manage and interact on social media channels.

Our social media platforms are used for:

  • Marketing and Promotion: Showcasing venues and highlighting the services we offer to attract new clients.

  • Client Engagement: Sharing insights and updates to build connections within the events industry.

  • Content Sharing: Regularly posting blogs, industry news, and event highlights.

2. Managed In-House

All social media accounts are managed directly by Match My Venue. We do not outsource social media management. This includes content creation, posting, and responding to interactions. We also create and share blogs on LinkedIn and our own website, sometimes featuring guest bloggers.

3. Tone and Content Guidelines
  • Our social media tone is warm, friendly, and professional, targeting a B2B audience within the events industry.

  • We focus on promoting venues and sharing relevant content for businesses in the sector.

  • We may reshare content from client events with their permission if this information is already public.

  • We do not share any client data or personal information publicly.

4. Interaction and Client Engagement
  • We may respond to comments or direct messages left on our posts. If an enquiry is made publicly, we will request the conversation be moved to private communication (via direct messages or email) to protect client privacy.

  • We maintain a polite and professional tone in all interactions, fostering positive engagement with the business community.

5. Handling Negative or Inappropriate Comments
  • Any inappropriate, personal, derogatory, or offensive comments will be deleted where possible, and the offending account will be blocked from further interaction with our social media channels.

  • Abusive behaviour towards our staff or other users will result in an immediate ban from all platforms.

  • We do not engage in disputes publicly and will not respond to negative comments that do not align with our company values.

6. Privacy and Data Protection
  • We do not share client data on social media, nor do we disclose any personal details in our posts.

  • Venues may be mentioned in a B2B context, but we always ensure that client events are only reshared with explicit permission when already in the public domain.

7. Moderation and Monitoring
  • We monitor our social media channels regularly to ensure that all comments and interactions align with our standards of professionalism.

  • Any content that violates our policy will be promptly removed, and appropriate action will be taken, including blocking users if necessary.

8. Employee Usage
  • Only authorised employees are permitted to post on behalf of Match My Venue. Any personal use of social media by employees must not conflict with our business values or brand image.
