Escot House & Estate
Escot House & Estate is a privately owned country house and events venue set within extensive parkland near Ottery St Mary in East Devon. The venue specialises in conferences, training, seminars, team building, corporate away days, private celebrations and larger outdoor events, with three principal rooms within the house alongside terraces, lawns and extensive estate grounds.
The house is not normally open to the public, providing privacy for corporate events, while exclusive use of all three principal rooms can be arranged for events requiring breakout and working spaces. Natural daylight, views across the estate, in-house catering and substantial free parking make Escot particularly well suited to meetings and away days.
Importantly, Escot no longer hosts weddings. The estate held its final weddings in 2025 and is now concentrating on corporate, private, sporting and music events.

White Room
A light-filled principal event room overlooking the lake and gardens. Large sash windows provide extensive natural daylight, while access to the terrace and gardens can be incorporated into appropriate events.
The White Room is suitable for conferences, presentations, training, awards, dinners and receptions. Escot has previously hosted the 373 Awards here for 80 guests.

Library
A characterful and more formal room lined with books and overlooking the lake and estate. The Library benefits from natural daylight and provides an attractive setting for meetings, presentations, dinners and private events.

Kennaway Room
A relaxed and informal room overlooking the estate, with a real fire adding character during the colder months. It works particularly well for smaller meetings, workshops, training sessions and breakout use.

Terrace & Gardens
Two of the principal rooms provide direct access to the outside, allowing the terraces and gardens to support receptions, networking, refreshment breaks and outdoor activities.

Escot Estate & Parkland
The wider estate provides substantial scope for large outdoor events, festivals, concerts, sporting events, corporate family days and experiential events. Escot has hosted Beautiful Days Festival, concerts, running and cycling events, car shows and large-scale outdoor activities.

Facilities and Services
Escot provides screens, projectors and flipcharts, with rooms configurable in theatre, classroom, boardroom and U-shape layouts. The three principal rooms can be hired together for exclusive-use conferences requiring breakout facilities.
Catering is provided in-house, with menus tailored to individual events. The estate also works with onsite activity provider Devon Country Pursuits to offer team-building and away-day activities.

Why Hire
Escot House combines the character of a private Devon country estate with a strong corporate events proposition. Its three principal rooms allow conferences and training programmes to incorporate dedicated breakout spaces, while the surrounding parkland gives organisers opportunities for outdoor sessions and team-building activities that conventional hotels cannot easily provide.
The estate also has experience hosting much larger and more unusual events, including festivals, concerts, awards, product launches, sporting events and corporate family days.

Escot House is located at Escot Park, Ottery St Mary, Devon EX11 1LU, between Exeter and Honiton. The estate is just off the A30 at Fairmile, providing straightforward road access from Exeter, the M5 and wider South West.
A major advantage for corporate events is the availability of plentiful free onsite parking.
