Located within the rolling Devon countryside near Tiverton and on the edge of Exmoor National Park, Huntsham Court Country House is one of the UK’s largest and most distinctive exclusive-use country estate venues, combining Victorian Gothic architecture, luxury accommodation and highly flexible event spaces within a private rural estate. Originally built in the late 1860s as a grand family home, the Grade II* listed manor house has since evolved into an award-winning destination for luxury weddings, private celebrations, corporate retreats and large-scale residential events.

Set within five acres of gardens and surrounded by open Devon countryside, the estate blends historic grandeur with a relaxed “house party” atmosphere. Unlike many traditional stately homes, Huntsham Court is known for its highly flexible approach, allowing clients to create bespoke events using their own suppliers, catering teams and drinks with no corkage charges. This freedom, combined with extensive accommodation and exclusive-use privacy, has made the venue particularly popular for multi-day weddings, retreats and celebration weekends.

Located approximately 15 minutes from Junction 27 of the M5 and close to Tiverton Parkway Station, the venue offers excellent accessibility whilst maintaining the atmosphere of a secluded country estate.

The Great Hall

At the centre of the estate is the dramatic Great Hall, featuring Jacobean panelling, sweeping staircases and Gothic architectural detailing. The space forms the heart of the venue and creates a striking arrival and reception environment for weddings, dinners and large-scale celebrations.

Reception Rooms & Library

The manor house offers five principal reception rooms alongside a library, lounges and additional flexible event spaces suitable for private dining, networking receptions, ceremonies and breakout areas. One of the venue’s defining features is its extensive gardens and outdoor ceremony options, including the Victorian Dovecote and mature chestnut trees across the grounds. A major differentiator for the estate is its unusually flexible hire structure. Clients hire the property on an exclusive-use “dry hire” basis, allowing them to choose their own caterers, drinks suppliers and event partners without corkage fees or mandatory in-house packages.

The Grade II* listed country house is situated on the edge of Exmoor National Park, approximately 15 minutes from Tiverton and within easy reach of Exeter, Taunton and Bristol.

The venue is just 12 minutes from Junction 27 of the M5 motorway and Tiverton Parkway Station, which provides direct rail services to London Paddington in around two hours. Exeter Airport is approximately 30 minutes away by car, while Bristol Airport can be reached in around 50 minutes.
