Ugbrooke House & Gardens
Ugbrooke House and Gardens is a historic country estate near Chudleigh in Devon, set within approximately 3,000 acres of Capability Brown parkland. Home to the Clifford family for almost 500 years, the Robert Adam-designed house provides an exceptional setting for corporate retreats, executive off-sites, private events, weddings and residential gatherings.
Combining the privacy and character of a stately home with modern business facilities, Ugbrooke offers meeting spaces within the main house, extensive gardens and grounds, in-house hospitality and 12 guest bedrooms accommodating up to 24 overnight guests. WiFi extends throughout the house and gardens, while presentation equipment and tailored catering are available for corporate groups.
Event Spaces
The Library
An elegant boardroom setting within the historic house, particularly suited to executive meetings, strategy sessions, leadership retreats and smaller corporate gatherings. The Library provides the privacy and character of a traditional country-house meeting room while remaining equipped for modern business requirements.
The Morning Room
A more relaxed alternative to the Library, designed for informal discussions, workshops and smaller team sessions. Its residential character makes it particularly suitable for retreats where organisers want to move away from a conventional conference-room environment.
Dining Room
The grand Dining Room provides an impressive setting for private dining, working lunches and corporate hospitality. Ugbrooke's in-house chef can create bespoke menus for groups, allowing dining to form an integral part of a residential retreat or private event.
Orangery
Set within the estate, the Orangery provides an additional hospitality space with seating for 26 guests indoors, together with further outdoor seating. It is particularly suited to refreshments, smaller gatherings and hospitality alongside events within the house and grounds.
Gardens & Grounds
The extensive historic gardens and Capability Brown parkland provide an exceptional backdrop for outdoor receptions, team activities, private celebrations, photography and larger bespoke events. With approximately 3,000 acres surrounding the house, the estate offers considerable scope for events that incorporate outdoor experiences
Facilities and Services
Corporate retreats can include the services of Ugbrooke's in-house chef and butler, bespoke menus, IT and presentation equipment and accommodation. Free parking is available for up to 150 vehicles.
