Convene Accelerates Plans for Landmark West End Venue Ahead of Spring 2027 Opening

Convene Accelerates Plans for Landmark West End Venue Ahead of Spring 2027 Opening

Convene has taken another significant step towards the launch of its newest London venue, with recruitment now underway for the senior leadership team that will oversee operations at Convene Rathbone, a purpose-built meetings and events destination scheduled to open in Spring 2027.

Located within One Rathbone Square, the new venue will introduce more than 54,000 square feet (approximately 5,000 square metres) of premium event space in the heart of London's West End. Designed specifically for conferences, experiential events, gala dinners, brand activations and large-scale corporate gatherings, Convene Rathbone is set to become one of the capital's most technologically advanced event venues.

The venue will feature eight flexible event spaces with capacity for up to 1,200 guests on an exclusive hire basis. Its flagship event hall will be supported by immersive 180-degree projection mapping, street-facing LED walls, a dedicated rigging system and integrated production technology, enabling organisers to deliver everything from international conferences and product launches to luxury receptions and high-profile brand experiences.

Situated just one minute from Tottenham Court Road station, Convene Rathbone offers exceptional connectivity via the Elizabeth line, providing rapid access across London and a direct route to Heathrow Airport. The venue's central location, between Soho and Marylebone, places it at the heart of one of the city's most vibrant business, media and creative districts.

The latest recruitment drive for a General Manager and Event Sales Director signals that preparations are now moving into the operational phase, with Convene assembling the leadership team that will bring the venue to life ahead of its planned opening next spring.

Convene already operates a portfolio of premium meeting and event venues internationally, and the addition of Rathbone marks a significant expansion of its London presence. Once open, the venue is expected to offer event organisers another purpose-built option for conferences, summits, awards dinners, exhibitions and experiential events within one of the UK's most sought-after business destinations.
