Bassmead Manor Barns
Bassmead Manor Barns is an exclusive-use barn venue set in the Cambridgeshire countryside near St Neots. Set within the medieval moat of an ancient manor, the venue combines a 300-year-old traditional barn with contemporary entertaining spaces, landscaped gardens and onsite accommodation.
The venue accommodates weddings and celebrations for up to 150 guests during the day and 200 in the evening. Its collection of spaces includes the historic Rickety Barn, light-filled Bridge Barn and outdoor Thatched Bower, allowing ceremonies, dining and evening celebrations to take place in distinct areas of the venue.
Event Spaces
Rickety Barn
The 300-year-old Rickety Barn is the venue's principal indoor ceremony space. Original timber beams and historic character create a traditional setting for ceremonies while allowing guests to remain within the main estate throughout the event.

Bridge Barn
Bridge Barn is the principal dining and evening event space at Bassmead Manor Barns. More contemporary than the Rickety Barn, the light-filled room provides the setting for wedding breakfasts, dinners, entertainment and dancing.

The Thatched Bower
The Thatched Bower is the venue's dedicated outdoor ceremony setting, positioned just outside the historic moat and surrounded by the landscaped grounds.

Facilities and Services
Bassmead Manor Barns provides an experienced onsite Catering and Events Team, with food and drink managed as part of the venue's service rather than operating as a straightforward dry-hire barn.
The venue offers exclusive use from 12pm until midnight on the event day. There is extensive onsite guest parking, and vehicles can be left overnight for collection the following morning.
Suppliers can be brought into the venue subject to Bassmead's requirements, including public liability insurance and PAT certification for electrical equipment

It is particularly strong for weddings because the entire journey — preparation, ceremony, reception, dinner, evening party and overnight accommodation — can be accommodated onsite. The contrast between the traditional timber-framed ceremony barn and the brighter contemporary entertaining space also gives the venue more versatility than many single-space rural barns.
