The Barn at Alswick

The Barn at Alswick is a beautifully restored countryside venue set within the historic Alswick Hall Estate near Buntingford in Hertfordshire. Combining original timber beams and vaulted ceilings with a bright, contemporary interior, the venue provides an elegant blank canvas for weddings, private celebrations, corporate events and exclusive gatherings.

The venue opened in 2017 and offers exclusive use of the Barn together with supporting spaces including the Snug, Dressing Room, Stable, catering space and courtyard. Events can extend into the gardens of Alswick Hall, while on-site accommodation and a glamping village allow guests to stay overnight. The main Barn accommodates up to 150 seated guests and 220 standing.

Event Spaces

The Barn

The principal event space features exposed timber beams, high vaulted ceilings and extensive natural daylight. The flexible open-plan room can accommodate up to 150 guests seated and 220 standing, making it suitable for dinners, ceremonies, celebrations and corporate events.

The Stable

A smaller supporting event and meeting space offering natural daylight, WiFi, a flatscreen TV, whiteboard, flipchart and PA system. It provides an additional option for smaller meetings, breakout activity or supporting space alongside a larger event in the Barn.

The Snug

A relaxed breakout and lounge area positioned between the Dressing Room and main Barn. Soft seating and tea and coffee facilities make it useful as an informal breakout, green room or relaxation space during events.

Courtyard & Gardens

Outdoor areas include the Barn courtyard and access to the gardens of Alswick Hall, providing attractive settings for drinks receptions, networking, photographs and summer events.

Exclusive Venue Hire

Exclusive hire incorporates the Barn, Snug, Dressing Room, Stable, catering space and courtyard, allowing organisers to take over the venue for private events of up to 220 guests.
